Refund Policy

At Okidex, we strive to build transparent and fair products. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which cancellations and automated refunds are processed for our Oki+ premium subscriptions.

1. Free-Look Cancellation Period

Any Oki+ subscription cancellation requested within the first 7 days of a billing cycle (activation date or cycle renewal date) is eligible for a 100% full refund. This is our "free-look" period to ensure that Oki+ fits your startup's needs.

2. Refund Policy & Billing Rules

  • Monthly Oki+ Plan ($10/month): Monthly subscriptions are set to automatically renew monthly with Stripe on the 28th day of each cycle. Cancel before the 28th day of the current cycle to avoid being charged for the next. The 7-day free-look period applies only to the initial sign-up cycle; no refunds are offered for subsequent cycles or months of use.
  • Annual Oki+ Plan ($99/year upfront): Annual subscriptions are set to automatically renew annually with Stripe unless terminated. Annual users can receive a pro-rated refund based on the remaining unutilized months.
  • The 28th Day Month Cut-Off: For annual plans, each billing month is defined as 28 days. The 28th day of each billing month cycle is the absolute cut-off to cancel to avoid utilizing and being charged for the next month. Canceling on day 29 or later enters the next month, counting as a fully utilized month (starts from the 1st of that month).
  • Inactive Auto-Renewing Annual Subscribers Exception: Annual subscribers whose plans are set to auto-renew and who have not logged into or used their account (except to initiate cancellation) are eligible for a refund exception if they request cancellation within 28 days of their refund value running out. This applies in two windows:
    • Month 12 Inactivity (Day 309 to Day 336): Eligible for a refund of the 12th month (1 month of value: $8.25 minus Stripe transaction fee).
    • Second Year Inactivity (Day 337 to Day 365): Eligible for a refund prorated starting from 11 months of value ($90.75 minus Stripe transaction fee).
3. Subscription Plan Calculations & Workings

Monthly Oki+ Plan Calculations ($10/month)

  • If you cancel within 7 days of initial sign-up: You receive a refund of $9.41 ($10.00 minus $0.59 payment transaction fee).
  • If you cancel on day 8 or later, or in any subsequent renewal cycles: You receive $0.00 (monthly plans are not pro-rated, and subsequent months are non-refundable).

Annual Oki+ Plan Calculations & Working Example ($99/year upfront)

The annual subscription is billed upfront at $99/year, dispersed over 12 months at $8.25/month. An annual billing cycle consists of 336 days (12 months of 28 days).

Working Example: Cancellation on Day 8

  • Days Elapsed: 8 days (exceeds the 7-day free-look period).
  • Utilized Months: 1 month (since 8 days enters the first 28-day month, it is counted as a fully utilized month).
  • Remaining Months: 11 months (12 total months - 1 utilized month).
  • Gross Refund: 11 remaining months * $8.25/month = $90.75.
  • Net Refund: $90.75 minus non-refundable payment transaction fee ($3.17) = $87.58.

Working Example: Cancellation on Day 28 (On Cut-Off) vs. Day 29 (Post Cut-Off)

  • Cancel on Day 28: Cancelled on or before the 28th day. Utilized months = 1. Remaining months = 11. Net refund = $87.58 (avoids charging for the next month).
  • Cancel on Day 29: Cancelled after the 28th day. Enters and utilizes the 2nd month (utilized months = 2). Remaining months = 10. Net refund = 10 * $8.25 - $3.17 = $79.33 (charged for 2 months).
  • Cancel on Day 309 or later: Enters/utilizes the 12th month. Net refund = $0.00.

Inactive Auto-Renewing Annual Subscribers Exception Calculations

  • Cancel on Day 320 (Month 12 Inactivity): Cancelled in Month 12 of Year 1. No login activity since Day 309 (start of Month 12). Net refund = 1 month of value ($8.25) minus non-refundable Stripe fee ($3.17) = $5.08.
  • Cancel on Day 350 (Second Year Inactivity): Auto-renewed for Year 2 on Day 337. Cancelled on Day 350 (within 28 days of renewal). No login activity in the second year. Net refund = 11 months of value ($90.75) minus non-refundable Stripe fee ($3.17) = $87.58.

4. Non-Refundable Payment & Merchant Transaction Fees

Please note that all payment processing fees, merchant fees, credit card interchange rates, and transaction fees charged by payment gateways (including but not limited to Stripe, credit card networks, bank transfer providers, or other merchant processors) are paid directly to those respective vendors upon purchase and are strictly non-refundable. When a refund is processed, payment processors and merchant networks do not return their fees to us. Consequently, these transaction fees ($0.59 for monthly plans, $3.17 for annual plans, or any custom merchant fees where applicable) will be deducted from your final refund amount. This fee deduction applies to all refunds, including cancellation requests made within the 7-day free-look period.

5. Automated Processing

Cancellations are user-initiated via the Account Settings page. When you confirm your cancellation, the refund is automatically calculated (minus the non-refundable payment transaction fee), processed with Stripe, and credit is returned to your original payment method. Please allow 5-10 business days for the funds to appear on your bank statement.
